Salem Dance Community

Salem Dance Community is a non-profit dance studio located on the historic Public Square in Salem, Indiana.


  • To provide serious dancers with a professional dance environment that promotes greater technical ability and artistic expressions
  • To promote and popularize the art of dance and to culturally enrich the community with the art of dance by presenting programs and giving qualified dancers the opportunity to participate in such programs.
  • To cultivate a diverse community of students, educators, and audiences in the Washington County area by providing creative experiences for all ages and abilities.
  • To provide scholarships to deserving students when possible

You can sign up for the session by registering HERE. By committing to the session, your student will be eligible for the end of summer showcase, and you will also receive reduced tuition rates. There are additional discounts if you enroll multiple students from the same household or multiple classes. We also offer flexible payments plans. Let us know what works for you.

Not ready to commit? That’s okay, too! You can pay as you go with our “trial class” structure. This allows you to only enroll and pay for the days you want to attend. You can look at our individual classes HERE.

Once you have registered for our online portal, you can access both the customer portal and the trial portal with the same login. There is also a handy app you can download for both iPhone and Android. With the app you can see your schedule, pay your tuition, and stay up-to-date on class information.

Lillian Wilkins

Lillian is trained in Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. She has received training from principal dancers from the Cuban National Ballet, Louisville Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet, as well as many others.

Fritz Wilkins

Fritz is trained in Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Contemporary. He has received training from principal dancers and soloists from Louisville Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and Indianapolis Ballet, as well as other prestigious dancers and teachers from across the country. He received a full scholarship to the Indianapolis Ballet Summer Intensive 2021.
